Virtuosi Di San Nicola

The venue is beautiful. We did feel that not being able to see the musicians, who are up in a gallery and behind the audience, for most of the concert was disappointing. Seeing the musicians play is such a key part of a concert and this was largely missing until the last 10-15 minutes. There also seemed to be some issues with the tuning in the final part. The programme had a good variety of composers.

Whilst the concert was enjoyable, i felt that there was little engagement with the audience. It would have been good to have a brief introduction to the players and maybe just an introduction to each piece. Especially as the players are behind the audience for half of the performance. I know language woyld nake this difficult, but iI think it would help to make the audience feel more a part of the performance.

The sound was not exceptional. Musiciens are not visible during all the show.
